Tree Services Hornsby Sydney Blue Gum Removal
Thornleigh
Hornsby Shire Council
3-4 Days
A towering Sydney Blue Gum Eucalyptus Saligna was dismantled to ground level in a pool area adjoining the house. Various other trees/shrubs on the property were cleared and pruned. A Hornsby Council tree removal application was also required.
The size of the tree specimen requiring removal and the sheer volume of green material to dispose of, which included numerous palm sections. The job also required a Geotechnical
Engineer’s Report under the RFS 10/50 Regulation before full removal in line with Hornsby Council tree removal rules.
Highly skilled climbing work and manual removal of the main tree specimen were achieved with no issues.
A complex job over in Thornleigh where a large Sydney Blue Gum Eucalyptus Saligna required manual removal. Almost 50 metres in height and close enough to the house on the site to add an extra dimension to the works, and did we mention the pool? That also had to be worked around by our highly skilled team on this large-scale tree job.
Firstly, a Geotechnical Engineer’s report was needed under the RFS 10/50 Regulation to enable removal as per the usual requirements for a tree removal of this kind.
Over the span of a few days, the work was carried out under challenging conditions but the climbing went without a hitch and the manual removal of the tree was carried out with expert precision. The sections of gum were safely lowered to the ground, with some section sizes a good 70-90cm in diameter. The team on the ground worked safely and efficiently to remove all the tree waste despite the challenges of the pool location and the difficult side access to the front of the property. Great communication ensured all moving parts of the operation were carried out smoothly and fell well within the proposed timeframe for the job.
Several other smaller species were taken down to ground level including a tallowwood Eucalyptus microcorys, an umbrella tree and a host of different palms that included a Phoenix palm, two cocos palms and three Bangalow palms around the property.
Pruning work was also carried out on some other Eucalypt species such as a lovely Sydney Red Gum Angophora costata behind the pool area along with some deadwood removal on a tallowwood and a ribbon gum Eucalyptus viminalis to improve aesthetics, safety and promote good future health and growth. Overall this was a massive job involving a good amount of skilled and competent tree work and our team achieved a perfect end result to the great satisfaction of the owner of the property.
