Roseville Deadwooding Tree Work
Roseville
Ku-ring-gai Council
1 day
Major deadwooding operation carried out in Roseville on a large Sydney red gum and a secondary cherry blossom tree. Also trimming of a viburnum hedge.
Large tree work involves many safety hazards as well as the skills required to make correct pruning cuts to promote long-term health.
A great result achieved.
A quick trip down to Roseville on the North Shore for a bit of pruning and deadwooding on this job. A large Sydney red gum – Angophora costata – was the first item on the job sheet and what an intricate job this turned out to be. The removal of a major build-up of dead branches, broken limbs and other unsightly features on this beautiful tree were removed to minimise the risk associated with falling limbs and improve safety beneath its expansive canopy. Good pruning techniques to remove the dead and dying branches are not only good for aesthetic appeal but also promote good ongoing health and longevity for a wonderful feature specimen like this one. A nearby cherry blossom – Prunus spp. – was also given the same treatment but on a smaller scale with the handy use of a tripod ladder. Members of the Prunus family are particularly susceptible to pest and disease entry through damaged limbs and wounds. Last of all, a large viburnum hedge – Viburnum odoratissimum – had its front face tidied up and looked a million dollars with the hedge cutting the last item on the job sheet for the day.
