Deadwooding a paperbark, banksia and some Kentia palms. Trim and tidy of a lilly pilly hedge, bamboo and some golden cane palms.
Selective pruning and anything involving bamboo and palms can be tricky.
Great aesthetics were achieved for the client all-round.
A trip down towards the beaches is always a nice change of scenery, but there was a fair bit of work to get through on this one so there was no time to waste. The crown of large paperbark – Melaleuca quinquenervia – was lifted above a neighbouring carport and pruned away from guttering and all deadwood was removed. A nearby banksia – Banksia integrifolia – was also thinned out and cleared of any dead branches and a lilly pilly hedge – Syzygium ‘Cascade’ – was trimmed and tidied up. Another lilly pilly on-site – Syzygium Australe – was also pruned away from the service wires and cleared from above a footpath. Next on the job sheet, three Kentia palms and a number of other palms on-site were given an overhaul to remove the unsightly build-up of dead fronds and any fruit and seed clusters that remained. A bamboo hedge on the property had its front face and top neatly trimmed back and, to finish, a bank of golden cane palms were tidied up for a much greater aesthetic appeal. Deadwooding in particular can have a remarkable, almost instant effect on the look of a garden and with all specimens trimmed professionally and to a high standard, it can add a real ‘wow’ factor to your outdoor spaces.
