Description

Roseville Chase was on the job sheet for the day with a mixed bag of tree and shrub work needed. The team had to trim a beautiful Magnolia grandiflora, bringing it down below the roof line to gutter level as well as a hard prune on the front face to reduce its overall volume. Next on the sheet was a Viburnum odoratissimum on the right side of the house, which received the exact same treatment. A nearby Murraya panniculata was then carefully pruned to an eye-catching straight line, also at gutter level. A lovely and fragrant Lemon-scented myrtle Backhousia citriodora out the front of the property was a delightful addition to the pruning list on the day, with its heady lemon aroma a welcome addition to the job site on the day. Trimmed and shaped to perfection, these native trees make a fantastic addition to any garden. Also out the front on the driveway fringe, whilst not quite a native, a hedge of Pōhutukawa or New Zealand Christmas Bush Metrosideros excelsa was shaped and trimmed to a sleek crisp aesthetic. To round off the work on the day, a lilly pilly Syzygium ‘Cascade’ hedge was clipped and shaped and a large Camellia japonica had some deadwood removed from its canopy. Some overhanging trees near the house were also tidied up and all cut vegetation was cleaned up and removed from the site. The final result was very pleasing to the eye as well as addressing some safety issues and a reduction in excess growth.
