Description

Quite a volume of work to get through on this job at Oxford Falls where a storm had left fallen branches on the lawn and other damage to trees on the property. These sections were cut and the larger bits left in 300mm lengths neatly stacked for potential firewood in the future. Two fallen Acacia stems were cut to ground level and a larger limb overhanging the lawn was brought back to a branch collar to allow for a clean wound to heal over and reduce risk of infection. A fallen tree was then dismantled and the remaining stump reduced to ground level while a canopy reduction was performed on a second species overhanging the lawn also. A rough bark eucalyptus extending out over a pool area had its canopy and any long branches reduced to a more appropriate length. A row of five other Eucalyptus trees also had any deadwood sections removed and were tidied up to improve health, safety and overall aesthetics. An existing dead tree was dismantled to ground level and cut into logs for the owner as per the job sheet. Finally, some stump grinding was needed on a wattle Acacia pycnantha stump and some extra pruning work was carried out around the property to improve the overall look. A big day was had by all and all work was carried out to a high standard with the end result pleasing to the eye as well as addressing a range of safety and risk management issues.
