Arbor Pride owner Julian Parry trained in horticulture 22 years ago before moving from England to Australia. He notes that hedging and topiary have gained traction in Australia due to growing interest in formal gardens. Ideal climates for topiary are temperate regions, and while traditional European species like boxwood are common, some Australian natives can also be shaped effectively. Julian has worked on intricate designs including grand sculptural pieces with some of his most spectacular projects located in both Australia and Europe. His favourite topiary piece holds personal significance due to its artistic complexity and beauty.
