Pruning Maintenance

Prior written consent needs to be obtained from North Sydney Council to prune or remove any tree listed on the Significant Tree Register regardless of its dimensions; any tree greater than 5m on the site of a heritage item; any Port Jackson Fig, Moreton Bay Fig or Sydney Red Gum that are more than 5m in height or with a crown width greater than 5m and any other tree having a height of 10m, crown width of 10m or trunk girth of 1.5m.

General Notes on Councils:

The pruning or removal of any trees on public land, parks, bushland or Heritage Items need special permission from ALL councils.

The Noxious Weeds Act 1993 lists trees not requiring permission to remove.
